Documents
Convert Pages to Word on your Mac.
Your document is in Pages, your client lives in Word. Clementine converts .pages to .docx from Finder, so you never have to open, export and rename by hand.
Or with Homebrew: brew install --cask kapyar/tap/clementine
Your files never leave your Mac unless you share them.
How it works
Drag your .pages files
From Finder, the Desktop, Mail or a browser — anywhere you can drag a file.
Tap ⇧, drop on DOCX
Hold Shift (⇧) while dragging and a wheel appears around your pointer. Drop on DOCX.
Done
You get .docx files Word opens. The original is never changed.
Why Clementine
Drafts and contracts go from Pages to Word on your Mac — no upload to an online converter.
- Pages’ own Word export for the best fidelity
- Batch-convert a folder of documents
- Originals stay untouched
- Runs on your Mac — nothing is uploaded
DOCX Saves a copy as DOCX next to the original. The original stays as it is.
This is the wheel you’ll see. Point at other petals to see what else the file can do.
Questions
Do I need Pages installed?
Yes. Pages is free from Apple, and Clementine uses it to read .pages files.
Will formatting survive?
Text, styles, tables and images come across well. Pages-only effects may look slightly different in Word.
