Convert EPUB to PDF on your Mac.
EPUB is perfect in a reader app but hard to print or mark up. Clementine lays the book out as a PDF you can print, annotate or send.
Or with Homebrew: brew install --cask kapyar/tap/clementine
Your files never leave your Mac unless you share them.
How it works
Drag your EPUB
From Finder, the Desktop, Mail or a browser — anywhere you can drag a file.
Tap ⇧, drop on PDF
Hold Shift (⇧) while dragging and a wheel appears around your pointer. Drop on PDF.
Done
You get a paginated PDF. The original is never changed.
Why Clementine
Your e-books are converted on your Mac — they’re not handed to an upload site.
- Text and headings laid out on printable pages
- Annotate the PDF in Preview or any PDF app
- Works on DRM-free EPUBs
- Runs on your Mac — nothing is uploaded
PDF Saves a copy as PDF next to the original. The original stays as it is.
This is the wheel you’ll see. Point at other petals to see what else the file can do.
Questions
Do books from Apple Books or Kindle work?
Purchased books with DRM can’t be converted. DRM-free EPUBs — from publishers, Project Gutenberg or your own writing — work.
Can I go from PDF to EPUB?
Yes — see PDF to EPUB.
