Documents

Convert Markdown to PDF on your Mac.

Notes, READMEs and docs written in Markdown are great until someone asks for a PDF. Drop the .md on PDF and get a formatted document in a second.

Or with Homebrew: brew install --cask kapyar/tap/clementine

Your files never leave your Mac unless you share them.

How it works

  1. Drag your .md files

From Finder, the Desktop, Mail or a browser — anywhere you can drag a file.

  2. Tap ⇧, drop on PDF

Hold Shift (⇧) while dragging and a wheel appears around your pointer. Drop on PDF.

  3. Done

You get formatted PDFs. The original is never changed.

Why Clementine

Internal docs and private notes are rendered on your Mac — nothing goes to a web renderer.

  • Headings, lists, links, tables and code blocks are rendered
  • Batch-convert a whole docs folder
  • Also converts Markdown to Word, Pages or HTML
  • Runs on your Mac — nothing is uploaded

PDF Saves a copy as PDF next to the original. The original stays as it is.

This is the wheel you’ll see. Point at other petals to see what else the file can do.
